Note for ArtNet Settings:
We have provided a Art-Net plug-in for softwares that works with ART-Net Protocol, such as the ones mentioned above. This requires IP address settings (in some cases installing a loopback network adaptor, or vpn network adaptor) , and also running the Art-Net software that we provided in the download link.
If you are using, or plan to use, one of these softwares, please make sure you know ART-Net and Network settings well and check with us before you buy, because providing diagnose and assistance would be very difficult if you can’t get it work.
Our testings shows that the ARTNet Software may not work on some Windows XP’s and we can’t figure out why.

3 Installation
1, Please download and extract driver files
2, Plug the dongle to you PC’s USB port
3, it will notify you a new hardware is found, and ask for directory of driver
4, direct it to the folder where you have extracted the driver files to
5, finished driver installation
4 Set it up for DMX Software
If your software is not included below, please ask before you buy.
We are only providing instructions on how to set up this dongle to work with the below popular software. We will not be able to provide tutorial/support on how you use the software.
FreeStyler V296j:
1, Start the Program
2, Click: Setup->Freestyler Setup, and select uDMX in the below screen:
Done.
DMXControl:
1, Install 
1, Find the file, in the above downloaded folder 
2, Copy it to DMXControl’s Installed folder. It is usually: c:/program files/DMXControl, unless you have changed it.
3, Start the program, and Click: Settings->Output Plugins, then select ArtNet Plugin and save. Done.
4, please download below files from above download links and put these files in
C:WindowsSystem32.
DLL files required for DMXControl on WinXP or Win7:
5, Note some users many encounter below problem here:
Error 429 is a problem when a XP system can not automatically register a dll file.
please try below command line from :Start->Run regsvr32 "C:ProgrammeDMXControlD512Plug.out.dll"
please note the about comment line is to manually register the dll file. please double check the diretory is correct.
If it still does not work please try this below first then do it again:
regsvr32 scrrun.dll
or
regsvr32 "C:windowssystem32scrrun.dll"
The below Softwares will all require ART-Net Settings. As working environment on
difference PC can be different, diagnosing and assistance can be difficult, we can not assure the
ART-Net will work on your PC.
DMXControl:
1, Install
2, Start the program, and Click: Settings->Output Plugins, then select ArtNet Plugin and save.
4, Run the ARTNET Program. (icon looks like: )
5, When you see the two buttons: ARTNET, and D512 both turn Green, as shown in below picture, Open a Music file from DMXcontrol, and you should see the blue boxes flashing, the signal lights on the USB interface are also flashing. That means it is working now.
MagicQ:
1, Go to View DMX I/O, then set Universe 1 to Enable (this interface is 512CH).
2, Go to View Settings, then Click NetWork, Set IP to: 2.X.X.X. Subnet:255.0.0.0; Then tick YESfor
“send to applications on this PC”.
3, Configure your PC’s IP address, and subnet to be the same as that used in Magic Q.
4, Run the ARTNET Program. (icon looks like: )
5, When you see the two buttons: ARTNET, and D512both turn Green, it is ready to work with
MagicQ. Do some tests.
Abuelites:
1, Click: Setup->Interfaces, and select Art-Net Protocol, as shown below
